ABSTRACT
This paper addresses a problem that faces all life on Earth. We, as human beings, are almost literally a cancer that is eating away from the resource base for all existing life forms, leaving behind a polluted desert in our over-consumptory wake. For other animals and plants to survive, we must face the fact that our human addictions to doing whatever feels good at the moment must be curbed.
