ABSTRACT
At the Laboratory for Agricultural Machinery and Processes several research projects involving Discrete Element Modeling (DEM) of agricultural processes are currently being carried out. They are concerned with the mechanical behavior of fruit in post-harvest handling. The aim of this paper is to give an overview of the goals of these projects as well as of their recent achievements.
