ABSTRACT
In jointed rock characterised by major joint sets (MJS), the loads acting on the supporting media depend on the joint orientation. For different dips of MJS whose strike is parallel to the tunnel axis, for different initial stress state conditions and for different joint shear parameters, this paper presents series of graphs for the dimensioning of the supporting media.
