ABSTRACT

The paper presents the results of erosion and sediment transport researches in 1980–1989. Three experimental watersheds were researched in the hilly-mountainous part of West Serbia (Yugoslavia). Parent rock and soil are the same in all three watersheds, but landuses are different. In the first watershed 40% total area is covered with well-stocked forests, ca 50% in the second one, and 70% in the third watershed. Such a distribution of forest cover is reflected in the intensity of erosion process in the watershed, as well as in sediment transport.
