It does not matter how good your knowledge of exercise is or how good your sessions are, without clients your career as a personal trainer will be short-lived. It would be nice if there were an abundance of people who just approached us in the gym that had seen a poster or advert and automatically knew they wanted personal training. Unfortunately it simply does not work this way. Whether we find ourselves working freelance, visiting people’s homes or working as an employee of a large private health club, we need to understand

how to find clients. If we want to be successful we have to understand about sales and marketing.
