Post-Lancaster House The Front-Line States remained actively engaged in the Rhodesian affair between the signing of the Lancaster House Accord in December and the Zimbabwe elections in early March. Their chief function in this period was to build PF confidence in the preelection process by demonstrating close support for the PF and vigilance against any possible British or Rhodesian attempts to use the cease-fire to gain military or electoral advantage for Muzorewa.
