ABSTRACT
ABSTRACT: This paper took Songnen grassland as study area and chose five kinds of dominant herb communities as research object. Then it determined physical and chemical properties of combustible materials such as ignition point, calorific value, ash content and moisture content et al. And combustion characteristics such as height of flame, burning time and rate of spread were obtained by ignition experiments: Combustible flammability sorting model was built taking factor analysis method and the result of flammability sort was: Leymus chinensis > Artemisia anethifolia > Phragmites australis > Kalimeris integrifolia > Chloris virgata. Flammable sort can be used in division of fire prevention district and reducing grassland fire risk. Meanwhile, it has vast importance to fire risk assessment and fire emergency management in prairie.
