At 6:35 p.m. Amanda paced around her kitchen with one of her children coloring at the table and the baby on her hip. She kept looking out the window. Dinner was hot, the kids were fed and bathed, but where was her husband? She took deep breaths and reviewed the directions to get to the meeting. She could still make it on time if she left in the next five minutes. The phone rang and she raced to answer.
