ABSTRACT
Gerda, 15½ years old, came to her first regularly scheduled appointment with her hand in a cast. She had punched a wall during a frustrating discharge process from a psychiatric inpatient unit. It also occurred to her that she might have needed to create a crisis to relieve the anxiety she felt upon leaving the unit.
