ABSTRACT
Talking about "the essence" of Erickson's work immediately sets up a polarity with "essence" on one side and everything else, marginalized and trivialized, on the other side-which might accidentally lead us to miss something useful. Therefore, I will talk about neither "essentials" nor "non-essentials" but rather some other more useful view.
