ABSTRACT

In the post-industrial society, knowledge management is loosely referred to as the exploitation and exploration of knowledge in an organization so as to enhance its competitive advantage. Knowledge management involves activities related to capturing, utilizing, creating, transferring, and storing of organizational knowledge. However, there is a close link between organizational learning and knowledge management. It is clearly evident from the Rahim’s (2002, p. 211) definition of organizational learning which involves knowledge acquisition, knowledge distribution, information interpretation, and organizational memorization (i.e., preserving information for future access and use).
