Fidelma Ashe is a lecturer in political theory in the School of Criminology, Politics and Policy Studies at the University of Ulster and is a member of the Social and Policy Institute. She is coauthor of Contemporary Social and Political Theory (Open University Press, 1999) and author of The New Politics of Masculinity: Men, Power and Resistance (Routledge, 2007) and Gendering Confl ict Transformation in Northern Ireland: New Themes, Old Problems (Routledge, forthcoming). She has published several articles on gender and nationalism.
