ABSTRACT
Background Information Sweden, the fi fth largest country in Europe, is surrounded by the Baltic Sea, Norway, and Finland. The terrain is mostly fl at, with mountains in the northwestern regions. The climate in the south is temperate with cold and cloudy winters, but in the north it is sub-arctic during winter. Summers are mild in both areas, although shorter in the north.
