ABSTRACT

Background Information Ethiopia is located in the Horn of Africa and is bordered by Djibouti, Eritrea, Sudan, Kenya, and Somalia. Ethiopia’s topography varies from the highest peak at Mount Ras Dashen, which is 4,550 m above sea level, down to the Afar Depression at 110 m below sea level. The climatic conditions differ along with the topography, with temperatures as high as 47°C in the Affar Depression and as low as 10°C in the highlands.
