Suggesting Cultural Indicators Derived from Exhibitory Science


The starting idea1 is simple: characterize, as succinctly as possible, how knowledge is disseminated in the research fi eld, then compare it with the school method-called “formal dissemination”–and fi nally compare it with the method instituted by the science exhibition-called “non-formal” dissemination. Why make such a comparison? On one hand, to discern the respective properties of these three types of dissemination, and, on the other, to spark a refl ection on the modalities of non-formal appropriation.
