At present we fi nd ourselves in a period of tremendous change in the fi eld of poetry-greater perhaps than at any time since the invention of movable type-largely due to the fruitful interaction between poetry and technology. In the twenty-fi rst century, new modes of access to poetry have emerged, as well as new venues for creative discourse, and these developments, along with our vastly increased daily hyperconnectivity, have given rise to both exciting and original forms of expression as well as a revitalized and democratized critical response to the work of previous generations.
