Jacob, a Case Study of Dyslexia in Canada: Ronald W. Stringer, Barbara Bobrow and Brenda Linn
Jacob is a 10-year-old boy, who lives in a large multicultural city in Québec. He is an intelligent and active boy with many friends. He loves to engage in sports, particularly hockey. He can be very friendly and interactive, though certain subjects of conversation can turn him rather uncommunicative and avoidant. This is particularly the case when the topic turns to school and his reading problems. Jacob was assessed and identifi ed with dyslexia at 7 years of age.
