ABSTRACT
In 1994, the French Criminal Code introduced the concept of criminal liability for legal persons.1 The category of legal persons includes companies, associations, unions, and public entities (public companies and institutions, local communities). One of the features of French law is the fact that the criminal liability stricto sensu can, in certain fields, combine with a system of repressive administrative sanctions.
