ABSTRACT

The significant problems that we face can not be solved at the same level of thinking we were at when we posed them.

INTRODUCTION

Integration is a process of reconciling different frameworks. It is well-known that Employee Assistance (EA), Work-life (WL) and Health and Productivity Management (HPM) have different knowledge bases, models and areas of expertise. These different areas of competencies and skills need to be brought together in a fashion that allows each model to be used fully and effectively. This process of integration occurs across a “macro” picture between organizations or on a “micro” level within each person’s mind. It is well-known in individual psychotherapy or in observations of groups that bringing together different ideas or belief systems causes conflict.
