ABSTRACT
Introduction is chapter aims to explore the content, structure, explicit purpose and implied agenda of the history curriculum in the Israel national state system, as manifested in the curriculum that was formed during the rst decade of the twenty-rst century. e chapter will analyze the content of the current curriculum, and the relationship of this curriculum to the issues of nationalism, globalization, identity politics, and changes in hegemonic culture.
