Attributions as Motivators of Self-Regulated Learning

Ms. Tuttle’s U.S. history class was tough; everyone who took it agreed on that point. There was a lot of reading and many assignments, and tests were challenging. Many students felt that they spent more time on her course than on all their other courses combined. At the same time, students generally felt that this course was one of the best they took in high school, and that Ms. Tuttle was an exceptional teacher. Her advice to students was to work hard, keep up with the work, and ask about what you don’t understand.
