ABSTRACT
Assessment activities which fall into this category are in one sense the most natural. Assessment for learning is about an ongoing dialogue about music between pupils and teachers and will include: questioning; feedback; target setting; discussing criteria; self assessment; peer assessment. Such assessment is pupil focused and aims to develop pupils’ musical learning and understanding. This form of assessment is embedded in the process of teaching.
