ABSTRACT

The objective of this activity is to help children or adolescents identify, understand, and express their feelings. In addition, it will enable them to distinguish between thoughts and feelings. This activity also allows children to communicate more effectively to others about their feelings. Last, it empowers children to examine and understand how their feelings and actions interact. The activity can be used in a school, community mental health center, and other counseling settings such as alternative schools or correctional facilities. It is best when conducted in an individual or family session, and it can also be used in one session, or over a course of sessions.
