Love Is . . .: David R. Miller, Philip J. Henry
The world seems confused about love. A person can “love” his or her favorite musical group,” and a person can “love” his or her home team and “hate” the opponent. A child can “love” chocolate ice cream, Christians “love” Jesus, and, yes, a person can “love” his or her new car. In a world turned upside down, it is important for Christians and Christian counselors to remain right side up on the subject of love. Love, in scripture, is a command, not an option. If a Christian is going to obey the Lord in the area of love, he or she must have a clear understanding of what love really is.
