Pilgrimage as a Form of Physical and Movement Spirituality

ByIVO JIRÁSEK

Some of them are closer to ‘profane’ activities from the point of view of human experiencing (with the cognitive or enjoyable and pleasant aspects of traveling dominating), while some of them are more closely related to the ‘sacred’ path (and in this case, a spiritual interest is more important for the itinerant). However, some aspects are common to all of them: bodily endeavor and effort, the adventure that comes with diffi culties and the challenge met in foreign places.
