Grief in the Midst of Ambiguity and Uncertainty: An Exploration of Ambiguous Loss and Chronic Sorrow: Pauline Boss, Susan Roos, and Darcy L. Harris

Both ambiguous loss and chronic sorrow result from losses that may not be easily de–ned or recognized, that are ongoing in nature, and that may be intangible in their manifestation. All of the authors of this chapter are involved in academic, research-oriented work as well as in clinical practice settings, so the blending of the research and practice in this chapter is a dialogue of professionals who represent both perspectives.
