T he dramatic increase in access and use of the Internet and other electronic technologies has expanded the availability of information to the bereaved and their families. In addition, and possibly more signi–cantly, the Internet provides opportunities for interaction with others around the topics of loss and grief. Because it is such a recent phenomenon, research on the use of technology in relation to grief and grieving has been limited. It is, however, growing.
