Intercultural-intimate conflict can be defined as any antagonistic friction or disagreement between two romantic partners due, in part, to cultural or ethnic group membership differences. Beyond cultural or ethnic group membership differences, differences in relationship expectations, goals, and conflict styles and perceived scarce resources (e.g., time, attention, or money as scarce resources) may further complicate an already complex conflict situation.
