ABSTRACT
Viração Magazine is a social project that runs with the goal of stimulating, reasoning with and conciliating with young people as active protagonists in Brazilian society. Viração is operated by the Association for the Support of Girls and Boys, a non-government organization in Sé Region, São Paulo. It produces news and information ‘about’, ‘for’ and ‘with’ the jovem-young people-at a national level, becoming a forum of refl ection and debates on Brazilian and worldwide realities. Viração’s publishing line promotes humanistic values, such as education for peace and nonviolence, solidarity between the people, respect for diversity of ethnic/racial, cultural, religious and other backgrounds. The magazine affi rms and promotes the rights of young people and valorizes Brazilian culture.
