Bergen-Belsen 2009: Renée Hartman
In a dismal forest of spindly tree trunks, several kilometers from the nearest villages, stands the newly built Bergen-Belsen memorial museum. It is a long, narrow building of concrete, steel, and glass. At the far end is one large glass window that marks the border of what was the concentration camp. The placement of this window wall seems to have been inŠuenced by the Yad Vashem Holocaust museum in Jerusalem.
