The purpose of this exercise is to enable the client to become more effective at influencing others.

Description

I use influence styles questionnaires LSI 1&2 from Human Synergistics (HS/UK Ltd: www.humansynergistics.co.uk), which involves a 360-degree feedback process. Their use is particularly enlightening with senior managers where a change in behaviour in the manager has resulted in having less influence than is necessary for the role, or has had an adverse influence on their relationships and therefore on their ability to achieve. The 12 styles are: Humanistic – encouraging, Affiliative, Approval, Conventional, Dependent, Avoidance, Oppositional, Power, Competitive, Perfectionistic, Achievement and Self-Actualizing.
