ABSTRACT
Phenomenology is interested in subjectively experienced phenomena encountered in the world-whether these phenomena can be objectively accounted for scientifi cally or not. Genuine phenomenology therefore describes only what we have at least a certain awareness of; awareness-of-experience is a defi ning trait of conscious experience. What is not part of conscious experience does not fall in the domain of phenomenology since we do not have a chance to describe it.
