ABSTRACT
Teachers of English to Speakers of Other Languages, Inc. (TESOL) is the largest international organization of English teachers in the world. Currently, TESOL has over 11,000 members from 149 countries. TESOL is affi liated with 47 independent teachers’ organizations in the United States and 50 similar organizations in other countries. As a result of these affi liations, the infl uence of TESOL extends to about 47,000 members worldwide (see www.tesol.org).
