ABSTRACT

The following chapter explores dramatherapy in an NHS context and consists of a case study of dramatherapy with a group of clients with learning

disabilities and mental health problems. Using the creativity cycle as the conceptual basis of the work, clinical vignettes will aid discussion of some of the core processes at work in dramatherapy and group work in general. An introduction to the setting and background to the group sets the stage for discussion of key issues such as socio-economics, working within a medical model and use of a developmental framework.
