ABSTRACT

The thermo-physical properties of such material evolve with the temperature. The values suggested in (Bentz et al., 2006), (Bentz et al., 2007) are summarized in table 1 and are used in our numerical simulation. One can notice that the thermal conductivity is influenced by the temperature but not by a possible phase transition during the exposure to fire. We consider that this exponential law remains valid in the presence of a carbonated mixture. The heat capacity (specific heat) is considered constant with temperature. Such an assumption is generally accepted for the studied mineral materials. Lastly, the change in density corresponds to the total mass loss of materials (cement, portlandite).
