ABSTRACT
Why is there a waiting list for Mr. Singh’s classes? There is a waiting list of students who want to get into Mr. Singh’s Physics classes and his course on Environmental Issues. Mr. Singh transferred to Taft High School three years ago after being recruited by the principal who was looking for teachers committed to student learning and teaching characterized by rigor, relevance, high engagement, and collaboration. Word spread quickly that Mr. Singh cared for his students and that he used problem-based learning in all his classes.
