ABSTRACT

Literature reviews have been conducted on several occasions as the need arose in the course of a series of small case studies which this action research has been undertaking. The cyclical approach between literature review, case study and reflection over key themes is an approach that Barrett and Sexton (2006) have utilized. They consider that the ‘hybrid approach loosens the disadvantage of grounded theory, that it can be unduly limited by the cases and the researchers’.
