ABSTRACT
The Merguellil River Basin is located in the central area of Tunisia. It regularly suffers from water shortages due to its semi-arid climate, and the uneven distribution of rainfall over the seasons. The demand for water mostly due to agriculture has aggravated the water deficit problem over the years.1
