ABSTRACT

The specific countries mentioned in this chapter have within recent years, primarily the past decade, been profiled within some research studies and peerreviewed articles regarding counseling and psychotherapeutic issues. This is not to say that research is not being conducted in various other parts of the world or that the particular countries featured in this chapter have never had any formidable research to speak of but rather to note that particular matters have surfaced within these featured countries of which counseling professionals would be wise to gain a perspective and awareness.
