ABSTRACT

Today racism is once again becoming a plague threatening humanity. It is no accident that the beginning of the twenty-first century was marked by the World Conference against Racism, Racial Discrimination, Xenophobia and Related Intolerance (31 August – 7 September 2001) held in Durban, South Africa, as the result of a UNO initiative. Controversial attitudes at the conference and its contradictory results were also no accident.
