ABSTRACT
As the previous chapters have made clear, space capabilities are proliferating. Today’s environment related to space activities – in the civil and commercial sectors as well as in national security – is far different from what it was during the Cold War. This chapter looks at how the US is responding to this changing environment, and discusses factors to be considered in the coming years.
