ABSTRACT
The mix constituents were Portland cement, metakaolin (MK) supplied by Immerys, fine sand (FS), water and aggregate sand. The aggregate sand used complied with class M of BS 882, 1992 and the fine sand (FS) used was silica sand (>97% silica) with particle size below 300 µm. The compositions of the cement and MK are given in Table 1.
