ABSTRACT
Several researchers have studied the performances of expansive cement mortars (Collepardi et al. 2005, Collepardi et al. 2006a, Maltese et al. 2005, Monosi & Fazio 2005) and several papers have reported that good results can be obtained by the combined use of expansive agents based on CaO and SRA (Shrinkage Reduction Admixture). In particular, the desired expansion can be achieved and can last for long periods by the simultaneous presence of both admixtures, even without wet curing. Moreover some authors noticed that the first expansion appears greater than in the presence of the expansive agent alone.
