Fairness in Participation in Preschool

This chapter presents our conceptualization of fairness in the education of young preschool children. Our central goal is to provide a description and meaning of fair practices in the classroom experiences of children. By adopting a sociocultural approach, we discuss the construction of fairness in the classroom in relation to social and cultural contexts of children’s development and in relation to institutional and scholarly context of teacher education.
