ABSTRACT
Flanders extends in northwestern Europe with a surface of 13522 km2 from the North Sea in the west to the Netherlands in the north and east while the Walloon Belgian part is situated in the south. It is considered as one of the most densely populated areas in Europe with 442 inhabitants per km2 and a total population of 6,058,368 inhabitants (Economie, 2006).
