ABSTRACT
An applicant applies to binding early admission programs at two colleges and when accepted by both, reneges on one, “because that’s what everyone is doing to increase their chances.” A man physically attacks an immigrant on the street and states, “he had it coming.” A customer steals from a clothing store’s inventory, explaining, “that they won’t miss it.” A man apologizes for last night’s offensive remarks against minorities by saying that he was “drunk.”
