Data-Based Teacher Selection: Viewed from a Planning, Recruitment, and Selection Perspective

Teacher selection is an administrative process performed by public school districts on an ongoing basis throughout the calendar year. Driving this administrative process are several causes. Teachers must be selected to replace existing personnel due to retirements, to transfers within the district, to fill vacancies created by leaves, to voluntary resignations, and to non-renewals of probationary teachers.
