ABSTRACT
After the churchwide assembly in August 2005, it was a time of peace in the Minneapolis Synod. At synod council and executive meetings, people reported that human sexuality had taken a backseat to everyday topics, such as worship, confirmation classes, even helping the homeless. The voices in the pews were more concerned about the larger church efforts to aid hurricane victims.
