The schedule for getting into the theatre and technical rehearsals

In most theatres, however small, you will be provided with a technical schedule that describes everything that will be done to get the production into the theatre and ready for the first public performance. This schedule will be discussed about a week before you enter the theatre at a production meeting; go through it with a fine toothcomb to check that the time is being used as you and your creative team would wish. Different projects have different priorities and mistakes can often occur when a generic schedule is imposed on a process that needs a more tailormade approach.
