ABSTRACT
Th is chapter explores the impact of racial disparities in housing market outcomes on earnings inequality. Racialized housing patterns in metropolitan areas can aff ect labor market outcomes for any number of reasons. Patterns of housing can aff ect wealth creation and the intergenerational transmission of economic status which, in turn, can infl uence the skills and productivityrelated characteristics of workers.
